Terms of Service

Plain version: you own what you post and you are responsible for it, we are a tool and not the publisher or the seller of anything a creator offers, we pay you a share of what your traffic and your passes actually earn, a reversed conversion or a disputed card reverses your credit for it, the list in section 5 is the list, and fraud loses the account. The detail is below and all of it counts.

1Agreement

By creating an account, claiming a handle, buying a pass or using Linktain in any way you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. We may change these terms; the date at the top says when we last did, and if a change is material we will email account holders rather than assume anybody re-reads this page.

2What Linktain is

Linktain wraps a destination, a file, a link or a private channel, behind a short gate. A visitor completes one or more steps, or buys a pass, and the destination opens. Creators earn a share of what those steps and passes actually pay us. A creator can also claim a handle and get a page at linktain.com/@handle that lists their links and sells their passes. We are a tool for distributing links and taking payments for access; we are not the publisher, the seller or the provider of anything behind a link or on a page.

3Your account and your handle

You must be 18 or older. Give accurate information and keep your credentials safe. Everything done under your account is your responsibility, including anything done with your API keys and anything published on your page. One account per person. Accounts cannot be sold, rented or transferred. A handle is a name, not property: we may reclaim, rename or refuse one that impersonates a person, a brand or Linktain, that is offensive, or that sits unused on an account we close, and we decide what counts.

4Your content, and who is responsible for it

You keep ownership of everything you upload, link to or sell access to. You give us the limited licence needed to host it, serve it, show a preview of it and list it on your page, and nothing more. You are solely responsible for having the right to distribute it and for everything you do with the service. We do not review content before it goes live and we are not a party to anything between you and a visitor. We are not liable for anything a creator puts behind a link or on a page, for anything a creator says, sells, promises or does, or for what a visitor does with what they get. Any claim about content or conduct is a claim against the creator responsible, and that creator indemnifies us for it under section 18.

5What is not allowed

None of the following may be put behind a link, on a page, in a title, in a picture or in a link's destination, and none of it may be promoted through Linktain. Every line is a termination on first sight, not a warning, and some of it we report. The list is written so that the payment processor and the advertising networks that pay everyone here never have a reason to close the account that pays everyone here.

Sexual and adult content

  • Pornography, nudity, sexually explicit or sexually suggestive material of any kind, including drawn, written, AI-generated or 'artistic' versions.
  • Any sexual content involving a minor, or anyone presented as one. Reported to the authorities, never just removed.
  • Intimate images shared without the consent of the person in them.
  • Escort, sugar dating, camming, fetish, adult subscriptions and links that lead to any of them.
  • Sex toys, sexual enhancement products and adult dating services.

Violence, hate and harassment

  • Gore, real violence, cruelty to people or animals, and material that glorifies any of it.
  • Terrorist or extremist content, recruitment or propaganda.
  • Hate speech, or content that attacks people for their race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, gender, sexual orientation or age.
  • Harassment, threats, bullying, blackmail, sextortion, doxxing and the publication of anyone's private details.
  • Content that promotes suicide, self-harm or eating disorders.

Illegal goods and regulated products

  • Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and prescription medicine sold without a prescription.
  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives, weapon parts, 3D-printed weapon files and instructions for making any of them.
  • Tobacco, vapes, nicotine, alcohol, cannabis and CBD products.
  • Counterfeit goods, replicas, fake documents, fake IDs, fake diplomas and forged anything.
  • Human trafficking, smuggling, prostitution and the sale of people, organs, protected animals or wildlife products.

Money, gambling and schemes

  • Gambling, betting, casinos, lotteries, raffles, sweepstakes, loot boxes for money and prediction markets, including tips, signals and affiliate links for them.
  • Get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid and multi-level marketing, matrix programs, cash gifting and 'passive income' products that pay for recruiting.
  • Investment advice, trading signals, forex, binary options, crypto pumps, token presales, airdrop farms and anything that promises a return.
  • Money laundering, cash-out services, mule recruitment and the resale of payment accounts.
  • Gift card, game currency, credit and coin 'generators' and 'free unlock' pages. They do not exist, and a locker that promises one is a scam.

Piracy and other people's work

  • Cracked, pirated or 'nulled' software, keygens, license generators and modded apps.
  • Leaked paid content: courses, ebooks, subscriptions, OnlyFans and Patreon material, private videos and paywalled articles.
  • Copyrighted films, shows, music, games, books and comics you do not have the right to distribute, including ROMs, torrents, repacks and unauthorised IPTV or streams.
  • Anyone else's brand, name, likeness or logo used to look like them. Impersonating a person, a company or Linktain.
  • Game cheats, hacks, aimbots, wallhacks, exploits and account stealers for any game.

Malware, fraud and hacking

  • Malware, spyware, ransomware, stealers, remote access tools, botnets and anything that installs without a clear choice.
  • Phishing pages, credential harvesting, fake login screens and fake giveaways.
  • Stolen accounts, stolen credentials, 'logs', card data, checked cards, cookies and sessions.
  • Hacking services, DDoS services, SIM-swap services, carding and fraud tutorials.
  • Spam tools, mass mailers, comment bots, follower bots and sold engagement.
  • Sales of personal data, scraped databases, lookup services and background checks on private people.

Deceiving the visitor

  • A title, thumbnail or description that says one thing while the link leads to another.
  • Fake downloads, fake surveys, fake update prompts, fake virus warnings and countdown timers that lie.
  • Content that claims to be from a government, a bank, a court or a delivery company.
  • Health, medical and pharmaceutical claims, miracle cures, weight-loss products and supplements sold on claims a regulator has not approved.
  • Deceptive political content, election misinformation and coordinated inauthentic campaigns.

Fake traffic

  • Bots, click farms, emulators, traffic exchanges, paid-to-click and any traffic that fires a gate without a person choosing to.
  • Incentivised completion: paying, rewarding or instructing people to complete your tasks.
  • Completing your own gates from any device, address or account, or having friends do it for you.
  • VPNs, proxies and device spoofing used to look like a country or a device you are not.
  • Anything that automates, scripts or bypasses a gate, an offer or a payment.

6Passes and subscriptions

A pass is a paid skip: for the time it covers, the links it applies to open without tasks. House passes are priced by us and open every link on Linktain. A creator's own plans are priced by that creator, between $0.99 and $79.99, and open that creator's links only. A pass is for the person who bought it, is held in the browser that bought it, and may not be shared, resold or transferred; a pass we find shared is cancelled. A renewing pass charges again every period at the price shown when it was bought, until it is cancelled at linktain.com/pass, which takes one button and no account, and a cancelled pass runs to the end of the period already paid. Prices are in US dollars and include any tax we are required to charge. Linktain is the merchant of record for every pass and the creator is paid a share; the creator, not Linktain, is responsible for the links a pass opens and for keeping them available.

7Refunds and disputes

A pass that has been used to open a link is not refundable, except where the law of the country you live in requires it. A pass that has not been used at all can be refunded if you ask within seven days of buying it. Ask by replying to your receipt or writing to the address in section 20. A payment you dispute with your bank instead cancels the pass at once and reverses the creator's credit for it, and an account that disputes payments it made is blocked from buying again.

8How earnings work

You earn a share of revenue we actually receive for traffic you sent and for passes sold on your links, your plans or your page. Your share is shown on your dashboard. A balance is an estimate of what you are owed until it is paid; it is not money we hold on deposit for you and it does not earn interest. A pass sale is credited when the payment settles, and every renewal of a subscription sold through you is credited again.

9Reversals

Advertising networks reverse conversions they later judge invalid, sometimes weeks afterwards, and banks reverse card payments that are disputed. When a network reverses a conversion or a bank reverses a payment, we reverse the credit for it on your balance, including after it has been counted. If your balance is already paid out when a reversal lands, we may deduct it from future earnings. This is how the whole industry works and it is the reason recent days are marked provisional.

10Payouts

Request a payout once your balance clears the minimum shown on your earnings page. We pay by PayPal, cryptocurrency or bank transfer to the destination you give us, and getting that destination right is your responsibility. We may hold a payout while we investigate traffic quality, a dispute or a suspected breach of these terms, and we will tell you that we are doing so.

11Fraud

Traffic that defrauds our advertising partners defrauds us, and a pass bought with a stolen card is theft from the creator it credits. If we find either, we may reverse the earnings it produced, withhold payouts connected to it, and terminate the account. We compare our own records against network reports and we record which server called each postback, so self-dealing is visible rather than theoretical.

12Reports and moderation

Every gate and every creator page carries a Report control at the bottom. Anyone can use it, without an account, and every report is read by a person. We may remove content, disable a link, take down a page, hold a payout or act on an account on the strength of a report, a complaint from a partner or our own review, without notice where waiting would cause harm. Filing false reports, or filing them in bulk to damage a creator, is itself a breach of these terms.

13Suspension and termination

We may warn, limit, suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, and we may do it for a first breach of section 5. Every such action is recorded with a reason and the reason is shown to you. You can close your account at any time. Termination does not cancel money you earned honestly before it, and it does not entitle anybody to money earned in breach of these terms. When an account is terminated its page and its links stop serving; passes already sold on its plans keep working for the period paid, and we may refund them instead.

15Third-party offers and destinations

Gate steps send visitors to websites we do not run. Destinations are chosen by creators, not by us. We do not endorse, control or guarantee any of them, and what happens on somebody else's site is governed by their terms and their privacy policy. Your dealings with them, and with any creator, are between you and them.

16No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that any link or page will keep working, that any pass will open any particular content, or that you will earn any particular amount. Nothing on this site is a promise of income.

17Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Linktain and everyone who works on it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill or business interruption, however caused and on any theory of liability. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of any creator or visitor, for any content, or for any dealing between a visitor and a creator. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount we actually paid you, or you paid us, in the three months before the claim arose, and one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

18Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Linktain against any claim, loss, liability or cost, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of the content you distribute or sell access to, the traffic you send, your page, your breach of these terms, or your violation of anyone's rights.

19Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, and you and Linktain each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. You may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead if it qualifies. Nothing here limits rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.

21The rest

If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a term once does not waive it. These terms are the entire agreement between us about the service. You may not assign them; we may, if the business changes hands.
